This attractive scholarship is offered by the American Association of Women's University (AAUW), a non- profit organization that actively voices equality and education for women and girls. AAUW provides opportunities for women to continue postgraduate studies, including master's and doctoral degrees at US universities, in addition to that there are also opportunities to take up postdoctoral programs in the US.

This AAUW scholarship is provided through the AAUW's International Fellowships scheme. Opportunities are open to international women who are not US citizens and have never received a fellowship from AAUW. If the applicant is a member of Graduate Women International (GWI), they can apply for study outside the US (other than the country of origin), even though the quota is available in a limited number.

Preferred applicants who have shown a commitment in advancing women and teenage girls, both in the community, community, and professional work environment.

AAUW scholarship recipients for the master / professional degree level are USD 18,000, doctoral degrees are USD 20,000, and postdoctoral are USD 30,000. These scholarships can be used for tuition fees, living expenses, child care, as well as professional meeting fees, conferences, or seminars as long as they do not exceed 10 percent of fellowships. This scholarship is given for a duration of one year (1 July 2019 - 30 June 2020). Up to five quotas are available for renewal in the second year for recipients of professional S2 / degree scholarships .

Requirements:
1. Not a citizen / permanent resident, or a woman who has dual United States citizenship

2. Holds a bachelor's degree or will be completed no later than November 15, 2018

3. Intend to devote themselves fully through the academic plan proposed during the scholarship year

4. Intend to return to your home country to pursue a professional career

5. Proficient in English (Minimum TOEFL iBT score of 79 or TOEFL PBT 550)

6. Master's and doctoral applicants must register to an accredited tertiary institution no later than November 15, 2019 for the period of the scholarship and must name the institution in the International Fellowship application .

7. Master / professional degree scholarships are intended for master's or professional degree programs, such as JD, MFA, LLM, M.Arch, or medical degrees such as MD, DDS, etc.

8. Doctoral scholarships are intended for doctoral degrees, such as a Ph.D. or Ed.D.

9. Postdoctoral applicants must show proof of their doctoral degree; hold a doctorate degree classified
as a research degree, such as Ph.D., Ed.D., DBA, MD or MFA no later than November 15, 2019; and mention where they will conduct the research

10. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees must be admitted to US-accredited institutions located in the United States during the scholarship year

11. A number of limited awards are available for GWI members for study or research activities in countries other than their own

12. Applicants must undertake full-year studies or research. International Fellowships do not provide funding for partial year studies or research. Programs that end before April in the year of the scholarship do not meet the requirements.

13. Master and doctoral scholarships support traditional class-based lectures from studying at a college or university. This scholarship program does not provide funding for distance learning or online programs or degrees that depend heavily on the distance learning component.
